Double Mechanical Seal About
Double Mechanical Seal is a back to back sealing arrangement which consist of narrow seal faces that are separated by a buffer fluid in between them which enables the softer seal to wear while maintaining the harder one. It is commonly used in conditions where the fluid and its vapors are hazardous to the environment and must be maintained at higher temperature and pressure. It is also beneficial in polymeric and stick mediums due to its higher durability and sturdiness.
